About Gray Sox Nation

This is the official site of America’s most-discussed baseball franchise, the Gray Sox. The team, composed assorted ne’er-do-wells (some still on probation) and those who dream of making it one day to The Show, plays its games near Washington, D.C., in the soft hamlet of Fairfax, Va.

Monty Huekle, a journalist of some merit when he is not drinking, womanizing or throwing away his money on Soviet-era slacks and Charles Nelson Reilly glam-fashion glasses, covers the team. He is an employee of BBN, but is a dedicated fan of the Gray Sox, having followed the independent-league franchise as a child and, during high school, served as the team’s seed-spitting target. He can be reached at graysoxnation@gmail.com.

Much has been written and digested about these men. More will be written here.

If the light is right, the 30-year legend of this franchise is apparent. But if the light is wrong—and it is sometimes incredibly wrong—some may see men in tight, polyester-blend uniforms and realize why they didn’t lead the league in victories or attendance last year.
